Baked Oatmeal Stuffed Apples

Baked Oatmeal Stuffed Apples

Our Baked Oatmeal Stuffed Apples make a wonderful breakfast meal prep or a cozy, healthy dessert that's filled with warm cinnamon oats, a touch of nutmeg, and a hint of sweetness — enjoy!

Ingredients

5 medium apples
1¼ cup rolled oats
⅓ cup brown sugar

¼ cup butter, sliced
1 tbsp. cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2. Core each apple and then hollow it out slightly, so the apples look like little pots.

3. Once hollowed, place the apples in a rimmed baking dish and set aside.

4. In a large bowl, mix together the oats, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

5. Once mixed, slowly add in the butter, a slice at a time, to fully combine into a thick, clumpy filling.

6. Scoop the combined filling into the hollowed apples, trying to ensure each apple gets the same amount of filling.

7. Once the apples are stuffed, bake them in the hot oven for 30 to 45 minutes, until the apples are soft and the filling is bubbling.

8. Once baked, remove the apples from the oven, let them cool, and then dig in!

Tip

If you're meal-prepping this recipe, simply store the baked stuffed apples in 5 separate air-tight containers in the fridge. Once you're ready to enjoy, heat your apple in the microwave for 2 to 4 minutes. Once it's all warmed up, dig in and enjoy!
