The term “Coaching” has been around since 1830 and was originally a slang term for a tutor who “carries” a student through an exam. Coaching has been described as a process used to transport people from where they are to where they want to be. In 2022, the term "coaching" evolved to mean, “a method of achieving set goals. The coach through dialogue helps the coachee (client) to correctly set a goal, find the best way to achieve the goal, and reveal the hidden inner potential in a person. So, What is Weight Loss Coaching?
A weight loss coach can effectively mentor you to help you achieve your weight loss goals. When you’re doing things on your own you may struggle, get lost, and even become frustrated. Having a coach is like having a GPS when you are lost in the wilderness. Just like a GPS, a coach can show you the most effective and fastest route to your destination, but you’ll still need to take yourself there.
An experienced coach will save you a lot of stress, time, and money by unlocking your potential in order to maximize your results. Coaches will educate you, provide you with feedback and hold you accountable. They will ask you questions and listen to your needs to develop personalized solutions to your struggles in order to continue your progress and, ultimately, achieve your goal. They will assist you with menu planning and determine strategies to help keep you on your path to success. Most importantly, you will never be alone, confused, or lost. They recognize the strength it takes to make the decision to lose weight and will support you every step of the way with guidance, solutions, and motivation.
Considerations for Weight Loss Coaching:

Scheduling Regular Touchpoints:
You’ll want to be in touch with your coach often so they can learn your body and lifestyle to help guide you through the barriers you encounter. During these touchpoints, you and your coach will also discuss the different strategies you’re using, monitor your goals, and track your progress. If you do not connect with your coach regularly, they will be less effective at helping you reach your goal weight.
We typically recommend three to five weekly phone sessions with your coach to maximize your success! However, if you wanted to speak to your coach everyday or only once a month, we make that happen when you're on one of our Weight Loss Plans. -
Taking It Slow:
Many of us embark on a weight-loss journey trying to change several habits at once, which often can result in overwhelm and failure.
