Over the last few years, many of us have had to discover new ways to entertain ourselves at home. Some of these entertainments have been healthy activities, while others not so much. We asked our Personal Health Coaches to create a list of healthy activities that can be done at home, so we could share them with you. Their suggestions for things to do at home fell into a few main themes: physical activities, food experiments, and mental practices. Here is our “Healthy Activities At Home” list of ideas:
Healthy Physical Activities
- Go for a walk around your yard or neighbourhood
- Take an online exercise class
- Deep clean your house
- Do a craft project
- Garden in your yard or create an indoor greenhouse to grow flowers all year
Fun Cooking Experiments
- Cook comfort foods and old favourites
- Test out healthy recipes
- Organize the kitchen pantry and cupboards
- Bake and try substituting with healthier ingredients
- Try a meal-prep delivery service and learn about new foods
Mental Enlightenment Practices
- Write or call family members and friends
- Set a morning routine
- Write daily in a journal (fun to read in future years)
- Take an online course in a subject you’ve always been interested in

Conducting or partaking in healthy activities is a great way to set a foundation and build a healthy lifestyle. We recommend doing a healthy physical and a healthy mental activity daily, as that will help you build a balanced lifestyle to be the best version of yourself.
