Consultations are absolutely free of charge. On your first visit to Herbal Magic, you'll meet privately with a trained Personal Health Coach who will record your weight and measurements, collect your health history, and cross-reference your medications with Herbal Magic Natural Health Products. Your coach will then determine which of our customized weight loss programs and products work best for you. He or she will also set your target date for achieving your weight loss goal.

The cost of the Herbal Magic program depends on your weight loss goals, medical history, and the type of program you choose, among other factors. We are not the cheapest weight loss company in Canada, but we are not the most expensive, either. Our clients will agree that we offer the best value. Our weight loss programs provide support, education, and encouragement throughout the weight loss journey. You'll lose weight and keep it off because we'll give you the tools to change your lifestyle and make healthy choices.

There are no gimmicks - Herbal Magic weight loss programs are based on three pillars of success: Real Food (grocery store foods & meal plans), Personal Coaching and Natural Health Products. Our clients, on average, lose two pounds a week. However, everyone is different and results may vary based on a number of factors, including personal weight history, body composition, level of physical activity, age, and motivation.

No. All Herbal Magic weight loss programs have a balanced, portion-controlled food plan containing all food groups (vegetables, fruits, meat, dairy, etc.). With Herbal Magic, you enjoy your own store-bought food.

Preparing your own food is the best option, but we understand that sometimes you want to go out. Our weight loss programs offer a Guide to Dining Out that helps you make the most appropriate menu choices. We also offer an ethnic food guide. And you can have that glass of wine or cocktail, in most cases.

Yes. We understand that sometimes there just isn't time to prepare anything. That's why we offer a Guide to Prepackaged and Frozen Entrées to help you choose the right frozen food options. But remember - frozen is no substitute for fresh, healthy food. So enjoy in moderation.

If you search the Internet for weight loss solutions, you will no doubt read about some negative experiences and feedback. Weight loss companies have been criticized in the media in recent years. Some of the criticism has been justified, while other times it has been unfair. There have been unscrupulous companies that have tried to profit from a general lack of regulation.

Yes. At Herbal Magic, we have a unique Medical Cross-Reference System (MCRS), which ensures that only products compatible with your medications are recommended.

At Herbal Magic, our top concern is client safety. During your consultation at Herbal Magic, you fill out a health questionnaire, and are asked about any prescription medications you are currently taking. These medications are then cross-referenced in our online database to ensure the combination of medications and natural health products is safe. If it is not safe, or we require a physician's approval to continue, you will be told on the spot.

Our proprietary Medical Cross-Reference System was developed using multiple medication/natural health product databases including Natural Medicine Comprehensive Database, Natural Standard, Lexicomp, E-CPS, and Micromedex, as well as from research obtained from our internal extensive literature database. This system is an online, real-time resource, updated as new research emerges and new prescription drugs are approved. We are the only weight loss company in Canada with such an extensive cross-referencing system.

Your health is our number one priority we'll review your health history very carefully and check it against our eligibility criteria to ensure that any given program is appropriate for you. Unfortunately, some people with certain health conditions are not advised to follow weight loss programs. Please stop in to one of our weight loss and nutrition centres to consult with one of our health coaches to see if you are eligible. You may require a physician's approval.

Herbal Magic has successfully operated in Canada since 1996 because our weight loss programs and our products are safe and effective. We actively support more regulation in our industry. Health Canada issued new requirements for product claims and formulations through the Natural Products Health Directorate (NHPD) in 2009 for all natural products. Herbal Magic welcomes this initiative. To date, we have filed applications for all 47 natural health products sold in our stores - 34 have already received Natural Product Numbers (NPN), and the remaining 13 have Exemption Numbers (EN), which permit them to be sold in Canada prior to receiving NPNs, while the product applications are being reviewed.

Our main supplier has been in business for more than 30 years, and their facility has strict quality control and quality assurance procedures in place.

All products manufactured for Herbal Magic receive a certificate of authenticity to ensure that the product matches our exact formulas.
