QLP Diabetic Program
If you’re diabetic (insulin - or non-insulin-dependent), this program will work well for you. Our specifically designed nutritional plan focuses on low-glycemic foods, good fats, healthy carbohydrate and protein sources, fruits, and vegetables, as well as the appropriate natural products.
Like all of our programs, our diabetic program offers easy-to-follow guidance on portion size and natural products to help you achieve your goal. Improving your diet and losing weight will improve insulin sensitivity, support healthy blood sugar levels, and help reduce the risk of complications associated with diabetes. Your daily meal plan includes appropriate servings from all food groups, like proteins, fruits, vegetables, carbs, and dairy.
Each week, you’ll meet with your personal coach to monitor your progress,
review your food journal, and provide solutions to overcome any weight loss
challenges that may occur (like dining out!). Your path to weight loss success
includes three equally important phases – weight loss, stabilization, and
maintenance.
Weight Loss Phase
In this phase, the emphasis is on modestly reducing total calories, allowing you to lose weight safely and consistently, while meeting your body’s basic nutritional needs. You will also shift your habits from eating what you want, when you want it, to planning well-balanced, healthy meals that include choices from all food groups.
In this phase, you will:
- Learn proper food selection and portion control
- Have frequent sessions with your personal coach to keep on track
- Take natural supplements that assist in weight loss
- Learn how each supplement promotes fat breakdown and elimination,
increases your energy, and helps suppress appetite
Stabilization Phase
Unlike other commercial or do-it-yourself programs, the Herbal Magic system
doesn’t leave you hanging once you have reached your goal weight. Our philosophy
is to make sure that you keep your new, healthy weight for life. Our
stabilization phase lasts six weeks. During that time, we gradually increase
your caloric intake in preparation for the final phase –
maintenance.
